Promoting car clubs to improve London Life

We are proud to have been involved in a landmark event to improve London’s transport system today at City Hall, supported by our client @ZipcarUK – the leading car club operator with over 1500 cars across London. Organised by The PR Network’s senior public affairs team, the Car Lite London event has brought together leading figures from central and local government, London’s transport authorities and the car industry, as well as the major players in the car club sector.


It’s hoped that this collaborative approach will help to effect positive change in terms of making car clubs an integral part of London’s transport mix, improving quality of life for Londoners who face issues around congestion and pollution on a daily basis.

Looking at how the event played out thanks to Twitter (#carliteLDN), we can see that the issues raised received widespread attention from a diverse range of audiences, from London bloggers to analysts. There are some fascinating facts about cars being shared by all the speakers, which included Deputy Mayor Isabelle Dedring and Baroness Kramer, Minister for Transport:

This engagement in the campaign by influential public figures will really help Zipcar and fellow car club operators realise their dream of seeing car clubs put on the London transport map. Being involved in such an important programme has also been incredibly exciting for The PR Network team, an extension of our b2b and b2c campaigns for the brand last year.
