PRN's founders win gold at The National Women's Business Awards

Last night our founders Nicky and George won Gold at the National Business Women's Awards in London!

Being a female-led business, this award means so much to us and made us reflect on how far we’ve come. We thought we’d share some little known facts and stats which demonstrate our smarter way of working:

1. 2006 - Won our first multi-market account

2. 2009 - First cross-continent account in 2009 (APAC - Japan, Australia, and Europe - UK and Netherlands)

3. 2013 - Launched the myfitnesspal app around the world

4. 2014 - Won a large project to help a ticketing company around the FIFA World Cup in Europe and Central/South America

5. 2018 - Won the Snap inc. Germany account (grew to include Netherlands, Nordic & Ukraine)

6. 2018 - Won the Workday Europe business, to run a large PR hub and support across multiple markets (current client)

7. 2020 - Expanded a large tech account to 19 countries including managing the international PR hub (current client)

8. 2020 - With ONE WEEK’s notice, handled the global announcement of Europe’s first unicorn business (60 markets)

9. 2021 - Won the Beyond Meat account to handle consumer PR in key European markets (current client)

10. 2023 - Won a new tech client for whom we’re building a PR hub and providing AR and PR support (all to be revealed on that win soon!)

Beyond PR campaign delivery, we also support clients more broadly, advising on geopolitical and macroeconomic issues affecting corporate reputation. For example, next week we’re running a private event on how brands should handle a sensitive global situation - when to speak out, and when to stay respectfully silent.

Women in business face huge challenges - glass ceilings, gender pay gaps, struggles juggling caring responsibilities. In fact, - only 2% of VC funding goes to female-owned businesses...

The spirit of the National Women Business Awards is to showcase, celebrate and champion women around the UK who have navigated all this and smashed it. We hope the PRN story inspires other women to go in pursuit of their own business dreams and never give up.
